2024 ACT 2 Ball Championships
The annual 2 Ball Best ball Championships were held at Burns Club Belconnen on Sunday 26th May 2024. The course at Belconnen was in excellent condition. The field of 18 Entries enjoyed a great day.
2 Ball Championship Winners were Chris Chris Bale and Phil Burgess (46pts). Chris had 39pts individually playing off a 5 handicap.
Runners Up were Greg Hellessey and Peter Groves (41pts OCB).
LH individual winner was Darryl Corbett (36pts)

An excellent day at Yass. The course was in very good condition, and we were very well looked after by the Yass staff. It is the intention to hold an event at Yass annually.

The very popular Barry Huckstepp Memorial LH and RH Event was held at Queanbeyan GC on Friday December 1st. Traditionally the event has always been held at Yowani, but due to course renovations this was not possible in 2023. However, a very good field of thirty-four players braved wind and rain to ensure a very successful event.

Excellent day at Fairbairn on 17th September, including an after-golf BBQ. As you will see below the LH winner on the day was new member, Robert Thompson. Remarkably, Robert is 8 years old. Maybe this is a record of the youngest player to ever win an open event! Well done Robert - look forward to you playing in our future events.
